Just dropped by recently and

Just dropped by recently and they've got a very large selection. You can order a la carte or choose their rather tempting deal. Pick one meal and 6 side dishes (veggies, chutneys, etc.) and then your variety of naan for around NT$330-$400.

Located on a quiet road smack dab in the middle of town.

Thank God they opened up

Thank God they opened up again. I checked my information again. Yes, they were closed for a while. Somebody I know, ordered a whole bunch of things for them to order from Taipei (spices and stuff). When he went back to get them, several times - they were definitely closed. Gotta pay their yard a visit, beautiful place.

Maybe Bugsy should treat

Maybe Bugsy should treat Foreign Emmy to a meal there. And of course, Robert and I will have to chaperone.

Jazz, to be honest with you,

Jazz, to be honest with you, I was gonna suggest that to you guys! It will be my pleasure!! Serious! Lets review our class schedules and set a time and date. I am teaching everyday, next 2 weeks, but not for multiple hours, maybe one or 2 hours a day. It will get busier in July. Tonnes of schools desperately looking for teachers.
Thats good news for you foreignemmy.

We all should have one big

We all should have one big splendiferous par-tay! I'm free usually, till July. And I know, like, nobody in Tainan except Robert and lots of people who don't speak English. And cats. So socal hour is good.

Can I bring my man?

Can I bring my cat?

Can I bring my mosquito repellant?

And yeah, there are tons of jobs going up! But already got my ducks in a row. Go me.

Oh. Need to clarify though.

Oh. Need to clarify though. This weekend is a little bad because I will be at the Peace Festival in Taoyuan County. But I can skip this one and go to the next one. Maybe we can do a weekly/monthly Tainan Bulletin restaurant review with any members interested.

That's a super idea!! There's nothing I love more than passing judgement on restaurant food! ; D I'm in on this idea. Let's do it!

Thats an excellent idea. I

Thats an excellent idea. I am usually free by 6-30 PM on Sundays. Saturdays, I am done with my classes by 4 PM.

Foreignemmy. The job market

Foreignemmy. The job market has opened up like crazy. I am flooded with offers. Just yesterday I had to cancel an interview (no time). Its crazy to see so many offers in June. I hope you get what you wish for!

When I went to Mexico to Go,

When I went to Mexico to Go, I asked Karen if she could sell me some of those bottles of those hot sauces she carries. She has like 12 different kinds. She said no, as she herself gets them through friends, back in the States.

Cool! We'd prefer Sunday.

Cool! We'd prefer Sunday. Does Indian Restaurant have indoor seating? Looks like rain for the next... oooh... MONTH! ; D

I had the opportunity to

I had the opportunity to have lunch at the Indian Restaurant today, and yes, you guys are RIGHT - IT WAS OPEN!! So, foreignemmy did win the cash. Dinner is on me guys, whenever you are ready!! Done!

Jazz, Rob and Foreignemmy:

Jazz, Rob and Foreignemmy: So when do you guys want the dinner? Foreignemmy won 20K! Location - Indian Restaurant. Best days for me are Tuesday evenings - anytime. Tuesdays and Saturdays are out.

Hari Om is also running a buffet, on weekends only. The place is much better than his last small location. With Indian Restaurant, I noticed that it has a strong Taiwanese flavour to it, but the food is good.

Tuesday night is ok with me.

Tuesday night is ok with me. Sunday is better for Robert though. So maybe a Sunday evening.

Another great place to hold

Another great place to hold a Chess Tournment! The terrace garden is beautiful, and has private tents! I can arrange something with the owner there, to open late.

That does sound like a great

That does sound like a great location.

I have found one more, I'll put some pics up on the Chess tourney thread.

Oh ya, he is a pretty cool

Oh ya, he is a pretty cool guy.  The terrace now has enclosures.  He is flexible enough to open late.  Plenty of small Japanese pubs around that location also, and walking distance from pub alley.

My wife and child and I ate

My wife and child and I ate here recently, and the only thing I felt was lacking was more people in such a beautiful and comfortable setting. The food was on a scale of 1 to Indian, 8. It was everything you want from an Indian restaurant. I just had one thing that was a bit off and when we sent it back for another try it was still off. Yet, that is very normal for any restaurant. And, when I say off, I don't mean spoiled or anything, I just mean not quite delicious and I am super picky. Everything else on the menu was terrific. I found the service polite and accomodating (and we have a child so that is important for us) and the setting is well thought out and perfectly relaxing and nice. It's a western style grass yard with tents and tables, how could you beat that? This is the kind of place that should be making a killing and they don't seem to have too many customers because I suppose they are just slightly behind everything which is actually a point in their favor. This is an EXCELLENT restaurant! D

Business has been off, as of

Business has been off, as of late. For no certain reason and the man works very hard!
