American Home Style cooked food. Taiwanese owned. Speaks excellent english. Non smoking family atmosphere. Cheaper than TGIF. If you wish to hear Beatles and Rock 'n' Roll, while having a home cooked meal, this is the place to be. 2 outside tables in the patio, for smokers. Ambience - laid back with Marlyn Monroe and Harley Davidson posters.

Paid them a second visit.

Paid them a second visit. Boss's name is Candy. Speaks fluent english. Ordered a hard taco plate (not meal) - $169. Came with 3 fresh warm hard tacos and home made filling (it had fried green peppers and onions with the beef). They do sell excellent home made food. The difference between Mexico to Go and 515 is - these guys have hard taco shells (for those hard taco shell lovers). Chilli is available only on Fridays. They also have other mexican dishes listed on the menu.

I tried quite a few things.

I tried quite a few things. Great inexpensive place to eat, Anping area, right near all the buxibans. Excellent cheese sticks and freshly fried nachos with salsa.

I tried the lasagna

I tried the lasagna yesterday. Hit the spot.

The restaurant bills itself on its homemade food and everything I had really fit the bill. The lasagne I had was great. The meal ended with a choice of desserts. I chose the cinnamon roll just because it's been ages since I've had one. It was THE best cinnamon roll I've ever had. I just always assumed from eating them in the fast food restaurants that the roll was just a conduit for sugar and other toppings. This one tasted of just sweet enough cinnamon and nice chewy bread instead of buttery fluff that passes as a "roll" in other shops in the US.

If you like to cook, you'll appreciate the fresh homemade food. If you miss the flavors, they're all there too.

Rob, ya they have some great

Rob, ya they have some great stuff there.  I often go there and pick up take-outs for 3 to 4 days.  Stew, chilli and like.

Gotta check out the other

Gotta check out the other stuff on there. Next, I'm gonna try the meatloaf. :-)

If you are nice to Candy,

If you are nice to Candy, the owner, and love REALLY HOT sauce, you may be able to buy some off her, for a reasonable price! She makes her own! Not lethal, but bad enough to burn ya!

She is an EXCELLENT

She is an EXCELLENT baker.....trust me!

The Mexican food was

The Mexican food was disappointing especially when the owner had lived in California for so many years. It was basically Chinese stir fry in a tortilla (soft and hard), and too salty. Ive heard the lasagna is great, so I am going to try it out. The mixed drinks are certainly strong and a bonus. The ambiance is great for Thanksgiving Day which some of us Yanks plan on going for some Turkey and pumpkin pie--Ive heard she does a T-Day special so we will give her a call. Skip the Mexican food.
