Sing Da Fish Market

Tainan Markets

Average: 5 (1 vote)

興達港觀光漁市

While technically in Kaohsiung county, the Sing Da fish market is close enough to Tainan to make it a worthwhile day trip. It is a popular tourist destination, so if you go during the weekend or holidays you might see loads of tour buses and people there. During the week it is slow and the deals are better.

Getting there:

From Tainan, follow the 17 south past Golden Beach until you see the brown signs for the Sing Da market. You will also see a power plant on the other side of the river, at the mouth of the inlet. If you make it to the end you have gone a little to far.

Don't follow the signs to Lovers Wharf (which would mean making a left and continuing on the 17).
