Tainan City Government has set up the Tainan Foreigner Assistance Center (TFAC) in April 2009 for a short test period before its official opening later this year. The center's mission will be to welcome international travelers to Tainan, the cultural capital of Taiwan. Information on sites of local interest, hotels, food and our fascinating history is available and our expert multilingual team will provide everything you'll want to know about Tainan. We will also offer services for residents such as aid in finding medical or legal assistance.

"Hsu Tain-Tsair (許添財), Mayor of Tainan City has been promoting the internationalization of the city. Foreigners are well spread across the Tainan area, they needs are like the locals, transport, accommodation and medical services. However they do not have the convenience on the language like the locals, which Tainan City Government had requested funding from the Research, Development and Evaluation Commission of Executive Yuan for setting up TFAC," Lin Hui-Yueh (林暉月), Director of Department of Administration and Justice explains.

We are located just inside the main entrance on the 2nd floor in the Tainan City Hall on the corner of Yong Hua and Zhong Hua West Road. If any foreign family members or friends need our help, please do not hesitate to come in or contact us during office hours (Mon~ Fri, 08:00~12:00 and 13:30~17:30) on (06)2981000 or 0800-024-111 for other hours.
