HudLaVoos Aboriginal Pub was opened by four Bunong sisters about ten years ago on Ching Nian Road. It's present location is in a 70 year old building that has been decorated in the sisters' unique style.
On the first floor there are nightly aboriginal dance performances at 11:00 PM. The second floor is more relaxing with sofas and funky decor.
Hud La Voos serves exotic aboriginal dishes such as baby hornet, mountain boar, and mountain rat, with regular Chinese food also available.
Weekly specials:
Mondays to Thursdays: Spirits (whiskey, vodka, etc.) buy 2 get one free
Every Monday is student night: all you can drink for 350NT (millet wind or beer)
Tuesdays are Minority nights: If you are a minority in Taiwan(Aboriginal, American, Indian, etc.) Buy 3 get 1 free.
Wednesdays: All you can drink for $500NT (millet wine, beer or red wine)

This is a great place to bring a small group of friends to. I've been there when it has been busy before, but also when it was just the staff. It's one of the few places in town that has some character that really defines it.

Sadly, there is rarely live music anymore.
We used to have an open mic night, and would still do it if anyone is interested.
Wednesday nights: all you can drink beer and millet wine for 500NT.
Sun, Mon, Tue and Thursdays: buy two cocktails and get one free.
