It's hard to call it right

It's hard to call it right now. I think with the Bush legacy, anyone overseas (those of us posting on this board) will not be voting for anyone who mildly smells of 'merican imperialism but McCain's camp seems to be finding some middle ground to woo over the middle road voters. Also, Barack's an incredible, inspiring speaker and speech writer. However, his policies don't offer much difference from the other guy.

The constant media coverage

The constant media coverage of these American elections is beginning to get on my nerves. Got another 6 months of it to come. And I'm not sure it really matters who wins in the great scheme of things. The only good thing is that at least Clinton will stop dancing and pointing at random people in the audience. I'm sick of the sight of her.

It is only going to get worse. At least there is a change coming

OMG you did NOT just start

OMG you did NOT just start this conversation. Don't even get me started...

I'm much too passionate about this topic, so I'll spare you rhetoric and make a feeble attempt at humor instead. With all due respect to our men and women who have served and our geriatric citizens;

While having a patriot like McCain, who can probably remember Custer's Last Stand, may be adventageous to America at times... I think it will lose it's appeal somewhere around his second year of presidency, which would be about year 7 in Iraq (only 93 more to go!), about the same time he will have begun forgetting his pants in public situations and repeatedly questioning his aides about why the milkman forgot his doorstep again.

LOL j/k, I love old people, just not so much the ones who love war.

It just seemed to be the

It just seemed to be the right time, with Obama declaring his victory (although Clinton didn't concede).

I will say McCain is a dinosaur, and he did manage to fail in his bid for previous Republican nominations to ... George Bush.

And in saying this, Obama is green in comparison.

It is sad, but there is going to be an intense drama for the next 6 months in the news.

Agreed. Media drama. *sigh*

Agreed. Media drama. *sigh* But is that a change from the norm? Sometimes ya gotta turn off CNN! Turn it off!!!

No need for more of the same, we've all seen where that's gotten us. I'm very excited about Obama, have been since the first time I saw him speak a few years ago. He talks big, and I guess my hope is that if he delivers at least one of his promises I'll call it good. Guess that means I'm desprate! : S
