Awesome pic and great idea. Why don't you pick a time that's good for you and those who can make it can sign up here?

Agreed Robert, let's see how many people are interested first... No point in doing this if only one person is interested. Also, we need to think about where we will have a first meeting,,,? I know lots of pubs with upstairs that may be able help in the evenings, but they are not open during the day. Any other suggestions? /-/owitee

Anyone interested in learning Photography or going out on group shoots to learn from each other? I am thinking of putting together a small club of people who share the common interest of capturing moments in time. I was a professional photographer in Chicago, USA, originally I'm from UK. I have shoot weddings regularly, famous musicians, products and love the "low pressure" scenic and off-camera-flash model shoots... Owning a DSLR or SLR is preferable, however, small auto cameras will suffice to start...
I work in Tainan area, but am available in the evenings and weekends. So... What do you think? - How about a group HERE. Feel free to add me on FaceBook? howitee@hotmail.com Howard Taylor

An evening meeting would
An evening meeting would probably suit most folks and that would make it easy to schedule for bars/restaurants too. But yeah, I guess a tentative list of folks would be nice.
Hey all! Nice idea! I
Hey all! Nice idea! I recently got myself a basic DSLR so I'm a total amateur. If you don't mind me tagging along then I'd be there for the first meeting!

I think a good contact for this would be Lief at liefintaiwan.wordpress.com. He has been around a long time, does great work, and is alre3ady involved with groups on Flickr and what not. he had an exhibit at his old restaurant Hud La Noom.
Excellent news... Willy’s
Excellent news... Willy’s second base has very kindly offered to host the venue for our photography club meetings... So, having reviewed all the tentative “I can make it on xxx day” - Lets run for next Friday evening at 7:00pm - pop in, ask for Howard... I’ll be upstairs or downstairs... We can go over the current lesson and discuss options for a shoot somewhere. Don’t forget your cameras!
