Scott Cook at the Armory (Canadian Folk and Roots Music)

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada's own prairie balladeer Scott Cook sings thoughtful, honest acoustic roots music informed by a lifetime of travels and a deep love of humanity. Scott spent six years on Taiwan, tangling with kindergarteners, playing roots and reggae with The Anglers and The Smoking Cones, and co-organizing the Peacefest, before trading it all in for the life of a full-time musical hobo in North America. His made-in-Taiwan 2007 solo debut, Long Way to Wander, made the folk and roots top ten on Canadian college and community radio, and kept him on the road for the better part of two years, living in his van, playing constantly, picking up stories and passing them on. In 2009, Scott released his second solo album, This One's on the House, and toured it coast to coast across North America, playing 137 shows including 13 summer festivals. 2010 finds him returning to Taiwan in support of the new album, touring around the island by rented scooter, and reuniting with his old band The Anglers.

Scott Cook will be doing a pizza signing @ Tin Pan Alley before the Armory show. A warm up set can sometimes be more intimate telling and it's easier to throw things on stage ie. braziers, beers, and jeers.
