Tonight the legendary CHARLIE SWIGGS, longest performing band in town, 16 year
or more, are back on stage with their new line up.
A Band that had its glory days long before most even knew what to make of the
underground music scene here in Tainan. When u-music was seen as a public
offense and should have been stopped with machine guns, no kidding, all true. An
old school rock band, based in Blues, Rock and some Santana like sounds. Singing
in Chinese, English & German.
A feature, that had stayed with the band through all these years, is their
tidiness of sound.
Some claimed it had something to do with the front man Axel who happened to be
from Germany but the matter of fact is, it just happened to be that way.

Unfinished,
an outstanding band that has absolutely no mach of its kind in Tainan or Taiwan,
their front man equipped with a nylon string guitar and his unique sty of song
writing, takes you to places not very often heard in Taiwan, unless you go to
all of their shows.
A trio, if motivated enough and into the mood for it, they actually make you
dance to their music and boy oh oh boy if that happens, they are unstoppable. I
have seen it once before and let's see what they can do tonight.

Half Mile Radius,
compare to the bands above a new kid on the block. A Band with a very passionate
drummer for his trade, very skillful and creative.
Their new line up is unknown to me but if their sound is like what it used to
be, this is one band you don't want to miss.
Their uniqueness is perhaps, that they truly can deliver a very cool original
American Rock sound and that, ... is not easy to come by.
Unlike Charlie Swiggs or Unfinished, their sound is straight forward with the "I
can do it" attitude. You don't need to know much about music to get in the mood
for their sound.

well, to be honest with you, I really don't know anything about them.
From the recording and dvd I got it is not very clear how much they can get the
people into the mood. It is for sure old school rock, mainly covers but with a
bit of an attitude of let me tell you a story of the old days, when we just
bought our first color TV, MTV didn't existed and you need to see bands live.
When talking and tuning on stage for half an hour was a part of the show,...
no they are not like that but their selection of tune reminds me of that time
period though.

this band well who knows, the haven't called me back, lets have an open mind
attitude and see who will show up.
