Tainan Foreigner Assistance Center News Letter - 51

Dear all,
It's been over three weeks since our last release of TFAC Newsletter. First of all, we would like to apologize about the confusion of the releasing date; on the back cover of the last volume stated that the TFAC Newsletter has been reorganized as a monthly publication. In fact, after the discussion, we've agreed to remain the newsletter as the biweekly publication. We are sincerely sorry if it causes you any inconvenience.
In TFAC Newsletter Vol. 51, we've included three articles and Everyday Taiwanese Lesson 6. Three articles are "Bike Theft-proof Stickers," "Orchid Island," and "Recipe of the Local Tomato Dish." Have you ever worried about your bike may get stolen in Tainan? Don't worry, get your ID card and the bike purchase certificate ready for applying the bike theft-proof stickers and registering your bike. Once your bike's registered, you can easily track down its location if you ever lose the sight of your bike. Don't hesitate, get your stickers now and secure your bike even more!! We believe that you've all seen a canoe, but have you ever seen a canoe made by the Taiwanese Indigenous People in Orchid Island? There is a canoe cross-country tour going on right now, but unfortunately those canoes has left Tainan and moving on to the next stop. Nevertheless, people who are interested can look up the Internet for the further information or contact us for the help. Tomato, is definitely a type of fruit, but it's also considered as a kind of vegetable. Pay close attention to the recipe of the local tomato dish, and you can own it at home!! Lastly, the lesson of Everyday Taiwanese is introducing some vocabulary about the direction-giving while you're trying to take a taxi.
Again we want to apologize for any of the inconvenience, and we also like to inform you that TFAC Newsletter will continue to be released biweekly. We hope you enjoy our publication and feel free to contact us if you have any suggestion or question. Wish you a great sunshine summer!!
