Sticky Ball Game

I don't mean to be patronizing to any teachers that have been here for a while, but this type game could be useful to any new teachers out there.

You need a sticky board and a white board to play this. It is quite easy, just draw a bullseye, or any other drawing and put number amounts in it. If the kids answer the question correctly, they can throw the ball.

For younger kids, a variation could be drawing a tree, then drawing birds and apples (or whatever else) where the ball hits the board. No score necessary for the little little ones.

race game

Submitted by robert on Mon, 04/14/2008 - 22:48.

A less boisterous alternative could be having a race. Draw a track and set off stages as points. Each correct answer advanced for their team in a race.

Put magnets on the left side. Sort the class into teams. The magnet advances to the next line each time they get an answer right. Change the amount of lines to match how long you want to play.

You could also tell them they can move their marker ahead or move the other teams' markers back if they win.
