Race Game

I'm not a big sticky ball fan so have come up with different alternatives of scoring.

A. A less boisterous alternative could be having a race. Draw a track and set off stages as points. Each correct answer advanced for their team in a race.

Put magnets on the left side. Sort the class into teams. The magnet advances to the next line each time they get an answer right. Change the amount of lines to match how long you want to play.

You could also tell them they can move their marker ahead or move the other teams' markers back if they win.

B. Another one that the kids love is making two sets of steps that meet at the top. Every time they get an answer right, they move up one step. In one variation, when they reach the top they either get an ice cream or other treat.

Or instead of moving up, the other team has to move up. In this variation, you can draw something horrible at the middle like a crocodile with gaping jaws. When the losing team reaches the top, they fall into the monster's mouth.
