One Word Descriptives

This is a pretty easy game, that can be a lot of fun. All it takes is a tennis ball, or any other ball for that matter, and enough room for your class to get in a large circle. You start by explaining that when the ball is thrown to them they have to use a one word descriptive about themselves, and there can be no repeating. I used this game with my College age classes and their was much chatter and laughter during the game. I usually add a time limit for an answer, based upon the skill of the class. A simple reward like a bottle of juice or tea, for the last man standing, was more than enough for my students. The ones that were out keep cheering for those still playing, and they started to countdown the time when each person caught the ball.
