You can find tahini at
You can find tahini at literally any supermarket in Taiwan. It is called 芝麻醬 zhi4ma2jiang4 and it's usually next to the barbecue sauce/ ketchup/ etc.
There are a few places to buy chickpeas, but they are a little pricey. Try any health food store. There's also a guy at the every-other-weekend farmer's market (at the same location as Da Dong night market) who sells them. Most Taiwanese don't know what chickpeas are, but their more common name is 雪豆 xue3dou4. Their "dictionary name" is 鷹嘴豆 ying1zui3dou4.
I've always called chick
I've always called chick peas 埃及豆 ai1ji2dou4. Good to know the other names. They also seem to be called 雞豆 ji1dou4.
